Birds like mosque swallow, black bellied bustard, bare-faced-go away, rare shoe bill stork, African painted snipe, stripped kingfisher, black bellied bustard, African Wattled Lawing, Ruppell’s starling among others. Visitors can enjoy Game Drives, Nature Walks, Boat Safaris, and Horseback Riding.

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to approximately half of the world’s mountain gorilla population, offering visitors a chance to trek through dense forests to observe these majestic creatures in their natural habitat.

Queen Elizabeth National Park

Located in the southwest, is home to a diverse array of animals, including elephants, lions, leopards, and over 600 species of birds. The tree-climbing lions of Ishasha are a particular highlight, as are the boat safaris along the Kazinga Channel, where hippos, crocodiles, and buffalo gather in large numbers.

Murchison Falls National Park

Mount Elgon

It is the main physical feature of the Mount Elgon National Park and sits on the border that separates Uganda and Kenya, Mt Elgon is home to two tribes, the Bagisu and the Sabiny. Mount Elgon National Park is home to over 300 species of birds, including the endangered Lammergeyer, Tinker bird, African Goshawk, Chubb’s Cisticola, Black-shouldered Kite, Tacazze sunbird etc. Mammals like Forest Elephants, Forest Buffaloes, Antelopes, bush bucks, duikers, blue monkeys, white and black colobus monkeys etc.

Mgahinga Gorilla National Park

Another prime location for gorilla trekking, this park is also home to the endangered golden monkey and offers opportunities for hiking and bird watching in the Virunga Mountains.

Kibale National Park

Renowned for its population of chimpanzees, Kibale is also home to 12 other species of primates, including the rare red colobus monkey and the L’Hoest’s monkey. Guided walks through the forest provide a unique opportunity to observe these fascinating creatures up close and learn about their behavior and habitat.

Semuliki National Park

It is located in Western Uganda and it’s known as the “true birders haven” The Park is known for its unique flora and fauna, including the rare shoebill stork. Visitors can explore the park’s hot springs, forests, and grasslands. Semuliki is also known for its hot springs (male & female) which are believed to have many healing powers for the locals. Semuliki is often visited for the great birding opportunities that come as a result of the blended ecosystem. It is also a home to 53 mammals like African buffalo, leopard, hippopotamus, Mona monkey, water chevrotain, bush babies, African civet, African elephant, and the Pygmy scaly-tailed flying squirrel etc.

Sipi Falls

Located in the foothills of Mount Elgon, Sipi Falls is a series of stunning waterfalls surrounded by lush greenery. Visitors can hike to the different levels of the falls and enjoy breathtaking views of the landscape.
