Queen Elizabeth National Park

The safari takes you to Queen Elizabeth National Park for wild game viewing. Queen Elizabeth National Park dubbed as “The Medley of Wonders”. The park has a variety of offerings ranging from a visit to the Salty lake in Katwe, various mammal species of about 95 like the tree climbing lions at Ishasha sector, the 4 members of the Big 5 like Elephants, Buffaloes, Leopards, Lions among other species like Antelopes, spotted hyenas, Hippos and endangered chimpanzees. The park also offers over 600 bird species to the birders like the grey crowned crane, handsome francolin, martial eagle, grey crowned heron among others and also an insight of the Nile crocodiles, Giant Hippos at Kazinga channel. You will experience the nature smile of Africa!

Bwindi impenetrable forest National park

For the wonderful and more thrilling mountain gorilla trekking. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is located in South Western region of Uganda in Kanungu district. It is best known for Mountain Gorilla Trekking Experience, The Park has almost half of the Word’s population of Mountain Gorillas with a population of about 459 individual mountain gorillas, 21 habituated gorilla families in the different sectors of the park like Nkuringo, Buhoma, Rushaga and Ruhija which gives a great opportunity for Gorilla Trekking g and Gorilla Habituation. 7 Days Uganda Safari Wildlife, Gorillas and White Water

Jinja

The Trip also involves visiting Jinja town famously known for its adventurous activities such as white water rafting, bungee jumping, Kayaking, Quad biking among others.

 

Day 1: Pick up from Entebbe International Airport

Day 1 of the 7 Days Uganda Safari Wildlife, Gorillas and White Water Trip starts with a warm welcomed by the company driver guide, who will brief you about the  trip.  Thereafter he will transfer you to your respective hotel in Kampala or Entebbe, you will check-in at your respective hotel or lodge and relax for the evening as you prepare for a transfer the next day. In case your arrival time is early enough, you can opt for a city tour around Entebbe or Kampala Capital City. Dinner and Overnight Stay.

 

Day 2: Travel from Entebbe or Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National park

You will wake up in the morning for a delicious breakfast and get ready to be transferred from Entebbe to Queen Elizabeth National park taking Kampala-Mbarara route. Along the way, you will enjoy a lot of beautiful and eye-catching encounters, for instance, the traditional drums making Centre at Mpambire. The drive to Queen Elizabeth national park also gives you an opportunity to visit the equator line where you will experience water experiments in both the northern hemisphere and the southern hemisphere and also take photos.

Proceed and have a stopover at Igongo museum-Biharwe Mbarara for lunch and have a visit to the museum for cultural and traditional experience about the local communities. After here, travel to Queen Elizabeth national park. You will later check-in at your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Morning Game Drive – Boat Cruise at Kazinga Channel

Wake up early in the morning for a heavy breakfast on day 3 of your 7 Days Uganda Safari Wildlife, Gorillas and White Water and proceed for an early morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains. Be on the look for Cape buffalos, herds of elephants, lions, and leopards (though hard to spot) among others. Return to the lodge and check out then head to the Ishasha sector in search of tree-climbing lions. The chance of spotting these lions is about 70% though sometimes they are hard to spot (most especially when they are down in the grassland looking for prey). Should you get to spot them, the sight is picturesque and memorable.

After lunch, you will go for a 2-hour boat trip on the Kazinga Channel that connects Lakes George and Edward. During the trip, the sight of wildlife including giant hippos, elephants and crocodiles among others will fascinate you. You will also see many varieties of birds at the water shores. After the boat trip, you can proceed for a brief late afternoon game drive and thereafter, return to the lodge. Dinner and Overnight Stay.

 

Day 4:  Queen Elizabeth National Park – Game drive through Ishasha sector and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

Wake up early morning to have a delicious breakfast, check out of your lodge and drive to Ishasha to look for tree climbing lions, other animals like Elephants, Caped buffaloes, Uganda Kobs, Warthogs among others. Have a short break lunch and later drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park the home to the endangered Mountain Gorillas and one of the oldest forest in Uganda. Upon arrival at the park, you will check into your lodge for Dinner and Overnight Stay.

Day 5: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park – Gorilla trekking – Batwa Cultural Encounter

On this day after having your heavy breakfast, drive to the park information center for briefing about the do’s and don’ts to follow during Gorilla Trekking and later start your guided forest walk by a ranger guide to search for the giant endangered mountain gorillas. During your walk, you many encounter other wildlife species besides Gorillas such as chimpanzees, black and white colombus monkeys, vervet monkeys, bush pigs, forest elephants, many bird species, butterflies and many others. The time taken while looking for mountain gorillas depends on the location and movements of the allocated gorilla family. Upon finding them, you will spend a maximum of 1 hour to watch them, take photos, follow their moves and ask your ranger as many questions as possible.

Later in the Evening, you will visit the Batwa community who were the early inhabitants of the ancient Impenetrable forest before it became a National park and also a UNESCO World heritage site in 1992 and learn about their social ways of life, how they hunt for food in their ancient ways, visit a Batwa homestead to watch how they dance and also hear ancient legends and their folk songs and then you will return back to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight.

 

Day 6: Travel back to Kampala

On this day 6 of 7 Days Uganda Safari Wildlife, Gorillas and White Water, transfer to Kampala for yet another interesting activity the next day. On the way, enjoy the beautiful scenery of the magnificent landscape such as hills, plantations, and cattle fields in addition to seeing herds of the indigenous Ankole cow. You will have lunch en-route, Have a brief visit at the equator line for yet another exciting excursion. It’s marvelous to have pictures taken underneath the Equator Sign.

Generally, people tend to carry out nonscientific experiments, most of them are manipulated illusions and not authentic, but fun to watch. There are also Curio and Souvenir Shops that you can visit. A couple of them have their wares nicely displayed and make it easier to shop for crafts, including of course the Equator T-Shirt that is a must-buy for many visitors and others. You will have dinner at your booked hotel.

 

Day 7: Travel to Jinja for white water rafting and departure

On the last day of the 7 Days Uganda Safari Wildlife, Gorillas and White Water you will drive to Jinja for white water rafting. The road to Jinja passes through Mabira forest- an eco-forest and second-largest in Uganda and famously known for zip-lining, birding, nature walk among others. Proceed to Jinja town famously known as an adventurous town with lots of activities and White- water rafting as the main highlight of this day. After this adventurous activity, travel to Hotel or Entebbe International airport.
